Executive Summary

RestoreOKC is a community development organization focused on the restoration of Health, Education, Residences, and Employment (H.E.R.E.) with neighbors in Northeast OKC. We exist to build relationships of reconciliation for restorative justice & EVERYTHING we do is informed by relationships with our neighbors for sustainable, place-based change who are centered at every level of leadership.

We facilitate access to sustainable food, recovery community, and healthcare through our urban farm and community-owned & led grocery store, The Market at Eastpoint. We strive to restore the foundations of flourishing built environments such as education, jobs, housing, greenspace and healthy food while dismantling destructive norms such as discrimination. We fight for educational equity by partnering with the schools in our community, getting to know families and building relationships of trust. We provide job training for 187 neighbors, helping develop skills that allow them to pursue careers and goals that were previously unreachable. We seek to tell the whole story, believing that only when we address history, systems, and lived experiences holistically and with humility can we see true justice and healing across racial and socio-economic divisions. We support just and equitable outcomes for our neighbors, knowing that certain communities have not been afforded the same opportunities or elements necessary to thrive. Our focus is developing relationships to move beyond relief efforts alone, to develop a true level of compassionate understanding that allows us to use our privilege for the privilege of our neighbor and see restored communities - now and for the future.
