Executive Summary
Marian House has a staff of 34 employees and is governed by an independent, all-volunteer Board of Directors. Our Leadership Team consists of four members—all members of the team have spent their careers serving the Baltimore area and have made significant contributions to the community both prior to, and during, their time here. Many of our staff are engaged in groups and coalitions focused on our areas of service, while others are involved in geography-based groups that aim improve the quality and efficiency of our services across the field and Baltimore City. Over 38% of our staff have backgrounds in education and experience in mental health and/or substance use fields as social workers, counselors, etc., many of whom have a decade, some two decades, of experience in the field. Eighteen percent of our staff have lived experience, such as substance use and/or incarceration, including some staff who are alumnae of the program. These long histories of working in these fields and shared lived experiences with our residents contribute to their overall success, in which we are able to provide the type of support that empowers the residents throughout their time in our program as collaborators in their success.
