Muhsin Hassan is Managing Director, Awards, Data, and Learning at Lever for Change. In this role, he co-leads the awards team which supports our donor partners who sponsor challenges. He also oversees the development and implementation of our data strategy, leads our learning and evaluation efforts, and directs the generation of actionable insights to inform program development and decision-making across the organization, as well as for dissemination across the philanthropic sector.
Prior to Lever for Change, Muhsin worked at a global strategy consultancy firm advising UHNWIs, foundations, and non-governmental organizations on advancing socio-economic and political development in the global South. He began his career at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) where he worked on several issue areas including economic growth, democracy & governance, conflict mitigation, and peacebuilding. Muhsin speaks six languages and has international experience spanning 11 countries. He is the vice chair of Global Refuge’s board of directors and a member of Talent Beyond Boundaries U.S. advisory council. Muhsin received both his MPA in International Development and A.B. in Public Policy from Princeton University.
